Ellie Goulding

Ellie Goulding was born Elena Jane Goulding in Hereford on the 30th of December 1986. Having caught the public's attention in the year 2010 by releasing her hit singles "Starry Eyed" and "Guns and Horses," British vocalist Ellie Goulding rapidly rose to the highest of the charts thanks to her energetic electronic pop. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Goulding has been at the forefront as are Kate Bush and Imogen Sheap of popular contemporary music and of independent, arty pop. Her soprano and her talent for writing emotional songs are what make her stand out. She ultimately signed a major-label contract to Polydor Records and began making preparations for her debut album.
